Turn your Canva designs into a way to get paid with PayPal Payment Links

Design It. Share It. Get Paid.

PayPal has partnered with Canva, the global visual communication platform, on an integration that allows creators and small businesses to accept payments directly from their Canva designs using PayPal Payment Links and QR codes.

Over 265 million people use Canva every month to create beautiful designs for their business, from flyers and menus to social posts and digital downloads. Now you can turn those designs into ways to get paid, with no monthly subscription and no technical integration required. Just create a PayPal Payment Link or QR code and add it directly to your design.

With the Payment Links integration, you can generate a payment link or QR code and place it directly into your Canva designs without leaving your workflow. Clicking the link or scanning the QR code takes customers to a PayPal-hosted checkout page where they can complete their payment.

Creation Meets Commerce Inside Canva

With the PayPal Payment Links inside Canva, you can:

  • Add a payment link directly to a website button, online ad, email CTA, and more
  • Insert a QR code onto flyers, posters, menus, or event signage
  • Share your design and start accepting payments through a PayPal-hosted checkout page
  • Customers do not need a PayPal account to pay. Available payment methods include PayPal, Pay Later in eligible markets, Venmo in the US, Apple Pay, and debit or credit cards. Availability of payment methods may vary by market.

PayPal handles the checkout experience, including payment processing and seller protection* on eligible transactions, so you can stay focused on creating and selling instead of spending time and money building and managing an eCommerce storefront.

Designed for Real-World Selling Moments

This integration is designed for small businesses that value simplicity and professional looking designs. Whether you have a website or not, Payment Links help move customers from interest to payment quickly. You can share your Canva design virtually anywhere, and anyone who clicks on the embedded Payment Link or scans the QR code can complete a purchase through a PayPal-hosted checkout page.

It’s especially powerful for:

  • Creators selling digital downloads, paid content, video access, coaching, or commissions
  • Service professionals collecting deposits, retainers, or appointment payments
  • Event organizers selling tickets, workshop spots, or class registrations
  • Food and beverage businesses using QR codes for menus, pre-orders, or pop-ups
  • First-time sellers who want a simple, professional way to get paid

For digital formats like websites and email:

  • Add a “Buy tickets,” “Reserve your spot,” or “Pay now” button linked to your PayPal checkout
  • Sell digital products directly from your Canva website
  • Include payment CTAs in email campaigns without building a store

For print formats like posters and flyers:

  • Add a QR code that customers can scan to complete checkout quickly
  • Use QR codes for events, pop-ups, food trucks, or in-person services
  • Unlock entry or confirm bookings with a quick scan

How to Get Started

Getting started inside Canva is simple:

  1. Make your design: Update your event, product, or service details and imagery in Canva.
  2. Connect PayPal: Go to Apps in Canva, open the PayPal Payment Links app, and authenticate with your PayPal business account. If you don’t have a PayPal Business Account yet, it's quick and easy to set up.
  3. Create your Payment Link: Add an item, name, description, and price, then select “Build” to create your PayPal-hosted checkout page.
  4. Add the Payment Links to your design:
    1. For websites or email: Paste the Payment Link into your button or “Pay here” text.
    2. For posters or flyers: Generate a QR code and place it into your design.

That’s it. Your design is now a checkout. When a customer visits your link or scans your QR code, they are taken to a secure PayPal-hosted checkout page where they can pay using the payment option they prefer, no PayPal account is required to pay.
