PayPal Debit Card

Each month, you can go to your PayPal app to select which category gets you rewards.¹ Categories include restaurants, apparel, groceries, fuel, and any others we may add in the future.

When you sign up for a PayPal Debit Card, you’ll get a digital card instantly. Use it online. Or add it to your phone’s mobile wallet for easy access.

If you’d like a physical card, you’ll need to request it. To request a physical card:

1. Go to your Accounts and choose your PayPal Debit Card
2. Choose Manage
3. Choose “Request a physical card”

Here's how to activate your physical PayPal Debit Card through the PayPal website:

1. Go to paypal.com/activatecard
2. Log in to your account and enter the required information
3. Choose Activate Card

To activate your physical PayPal Debit Card in the app:

1. Go to your Accounts
2. Choose PayPal Debit Card
3. Enter the required information
4. Choose Activate Card

You can also activate your physical PayPal Debit Card by calling our 24-hour automated activation line and following the steps provided at 1-800-314-8298.

The PayPal Debit Card has no monthly fees and no minimum balance. There's no transaction fee for US purchase transactions. Foreign transactions have a 2.5% international transaction fee. More about pricing.

To withdraw funds from your PayPal balance, simply use the card and the PIN you created when you activated the card. There's no fee for withdrawing cash from MoneyPass ATMs across the U.S.⁴ Withdrawals from non-MoneyPass ATMs have a $2.50 ATM withdrawal fee.
