Mobile check deposit

You can cash a check in the PayPal app by taking a photo of both sides of your signed check and choosing when you want to receive the money in your PayPal Balance account.

Here’s how to cash a check from your PayPal app:

1. Go to your Accounts
2. Choose Cash a Check
3. Enter the check amount, take a picture of the front and back of your endorsed check with your mobile device, and select Next
4. Choose how quickly you want access to your money and then select Confirm

There is no fee when you get your check cashed in 10 days. If you want expedited check cashing, the fee is 1 % for payroll and government checks with a pre-printed signature, with a minimum fee of $5. And 5 % for all other accepted check types, including hand-signed payroll and government checks, with a minimum fee of $5.

PayPal lets you manage all your money in one app, and the Cash a Check feature in the PayPal app allows you to cash checks on your mobile device and have them credited to your PayPal Balance account. You simply take a picture of the check you want to cash and send it to us for review. Once your check is approved, you have the option to pay a fee and get your money credited to your PayPal Balance account, usually in minutes.
